Philosophy at Coastal Bend College

Philosophy

The Social Sciences Department at Coastal Bend College offers a wide array of courses in History, Government, and Social and Behavioral Sciences for degree completion, transfer to 4 year institutions and personal enrichment. Whatever your career choice, chances are great that some of the courses in the social sciences division will help you complete your college degree.  Courses under the Social Sciences umbrella include:  a variety of History courses; American Government and State Government; Economics I & II and Economics and Contemporary Issues; and various Psychology and Sociology courses.  Our faculty enjoys teaching and helping both traditional and non-traditional students to appreciate the social sciences and acquire a well-rounded education.  We look forward to having you in our classes, and helping you to reach your educational goals.  Our mission is “keeping student success in sight”.
