Beeville: Grady C. Hogue Learning Resource Center (Building 'O')
Alice: Room 129
Kingsville: Room 105a
Pleasanton: Room 137
A note about the CougarID and CBC employees: Although students will use their CougarID to access internet-based services, faculty and staff will use their email user name and password (without the @coastalbend.edu). If an employee brings a personal laptop to campus, he/she uses the email user name and the Social Security Number for the password (with no dashes). An extended explanation is here.
Online Resources & Databases
The CBC Library pays for a variety of authoritative resources that are accessible from computers with internet access, available from home or office on the Library Online Resources page.
The library pays for access to ebrary and Ebscohost e-books, which are collections of full-text electronic books. These services provide access to the entire text of the books, from the cover to the last page. View the ebooks page.
Scheduling Instruction: Please call your campus library or librarian to schedule a date and time for instruction in advance so that the librarians will be able to fully customize library instruction for your classroom needs.
Library Subscription Databases: the librarians are available to provide detailed instruction on each of the library subscription databases, either to faculty or to students.
Other classes: the librarians can provide instruction on information literacy, internet searching, plagiarism, citing sources, and general library orientations either in the classroom or in the library
With the new online catalog, the library has the ability to maintain lists of New Titles. View the Catalog page.
This is a collection of tutorials that were either prepared by librarians or provided by vendors. They include PowerPoint presentations, multimedia presentations, and downloadable Adobe PDF files. Go to the Library Tutorials page.
